An Elegy to myself
A speeding disfigured bus
with iridescent vomit festering
on its rusty flanks,
swerved, veered and
crushed me, abruptly
interrupting my routine.
The rogue got me midway
between many incompletes
and spattered the road
with my tentative improbabilities,
though at the end
it was a good excuse to skip office.
and soon after my death
my mother was incensed
at me
when she found in my
secret closet (i was dead so
there was none to object)
carelessly written verse
hidden between pages of
hard porn mags.
but there i was
limp limbs lacerated
littered all over
the Chirag Delhi fly-over
open to Public gaze
like a badly written poem
published for once.
