Pollutes with worm-words the filth As breath of a menstruating woman would Wilt tulsi leaves, grandmother's pickles Virgins squatting underneath the peepul Shade of village temple. Slither of slippers changed from Racks to show cases, like a child Stuffing wooden utensils from play Stool to palm basket. Jealous of a cousin as a country Mouse the city mouse. She hovers With bicycle my lurid clothes Of ribbed cotton paler than The uniforms of mill workers. Stokes up graphics I have Still not arrived at the dice That has taken us away >From the doorsteps where we sat Like shoes left recklessly.
