Renouncing the world had always seemed A sensible thing to do, as such. Life is neither new nor true. They wrote so years ago, It still has not changed very much. Regarding which, I was not so sure when I heard he too Might do so, someday. I was disquieted at thinking how Someone might not get to know the joy profound Of returning home to that seraphic smile Day after day. How an unborn child or two Might not get to grow in a haven of dulcet sound And perfect love. How some extended happy family Might not get to rejoice in their relation to such a paragon Of life. I prayed then, that the world should wake, And get restored to him for its own sake.
