unfortunately - I don't think this is yet possible with ZFS  - this is one of 
the  reasons  stopping me to use ZFS in a BCV type of environment  - adding 
this feature will make ZFS really popular with big enterprise customers I 
reckon ...where Hardware replication/snapshots techniques are heavily in use
