I have the following immedaite requirement:
Software Engineer
Location: NC
Duration: 8 months
Rates: $50/hr
In-person interview in North Carolina will be necessary after phone interviews. Client will phone screen by Dec 5th and have the team interview the top 3 candidates the 8th and 9th of December with a decision returned by the 10th.
Candidates have to travel to NY. Expenses will be paid.
The ideal candidate will be very proactive and self directed and be equally comfortable coding in Java as presenting technical concepts and designs to internal and external. She/he will take initiative in solving complex technical problems in areas which may be outside their technical expertise and coming up with original solutions and design approaches to new project requirements.
Responsibilities:
- Design & development of SOA (service oriented architecture) frameworks and services to support the development of on-demand and real-time data integration applications.
- Conduct the design and development on complex frameworks and backend services and applications.
- Build highly scalable and high performance multi-threaded servers to support parallel and distributed processing of large data volumes.
- Build complex data processing transformations. Support product extensibility by providing open SDKs / APIs.
- Provides assistance with, and review of, the load testing team's test plans and test cases to ensure early and appropriate load testing is done.
- Works with project manager to identify critical/new components for early performance profiling or load testing.
- Work closely with a wide variety of teams that include Product Management, QA, and Product Support to clearly communicate requirements and resolve issues.
Required Skills:
List of Must: Flex 3 with extensive Actionscript experience; Flash CS3; XML; Experience with REST
"J2ME" (also known as "Java ME") is the micro version of Java used for Midlets (running in the future Cisco Phones)
Platform: Linux, Mac or Windows
List of Would be Nice: Photoshop; Java J;SP/Servlet
