Project Description:
The successful candidate will be working within a Team with the responsibility
to:
Work with Support Senior Management and Key Business Users in the development
of enhancements and buff fixes for the Global Budget and Forecast Solution
Working with the SMEs ensures support service level agreements are met in all
aspects of CR development and bug fixes.
Work within the Change Management and ELC Processes of the Client bring
Development Skills and disciplines to the Project Team to ensure error free
implementation of changes to the Production environment.
The GBF process and tool environment is being deployed in a staggered manner
globally Q1 2008 thru 2009. This approach makes the development and management
of the changes to the current live stages of the solution a challenge and Agile
Development experience would be a benefit to the role.
The GBF Production environment is now moving into change control and
Development, Test and Training environments exist as well. The plan is to
upgrade the GBF Environment and HFM Environment Q2 2009 bringing the solutions
applications in alignment and therefore providing the opportunity to take
advantage of the environment shared services and synergies of the solutions,
such as Web forms, reporting, Upstream. The role would play a significant part
in that process and the upgrade may involve re-development of some components.
It is Client’s vision to leverage the integration inherent in Hyperion's System
9 platform for its Planning and an upgraded HFM solution set, providing a
global support model, which provides the most efficient support to all Business
users. (The combined user base is estimated at 3000 users worldwide)
Global Budgeting and Forecasting (GBF) is the Client’s planning solution and is
utilizing approximately 25 worldwide budgeting/forecasting business models in
Hyperion System 9 Planning ("the models").
These models are expected to meet the unique budgeting and forecasting needs
across the divisions and markets worldwide. The deployment schedule was
initiated in Feb 2008 and will continue through end 2009.
Role Description:
Functional activities will include but not limited to:
Monitor and maintain Hyperion Financial Reports folder structures and reports
within the BI+ Workspace
Monitor and maintain Hyperion Financial Web Analysis folder structures and
views within the BI+ Workspace
Monitor Essbase security settings during different cycles
Ability to setup and maintain any Hyperion Planning security related settings
Ability to setup and maintain Hyperion Planning Data Entry Forms and related
security and calculation settings
Ability to setup and maintain any Hyperion Essbase Outlines
Ability to write, modify and maintain Essbase Calculation scripts
Ability to write, modify and maintain Essbase Outline member formulas
Ability to write, modify and maintain Essbase Data Load rules
Ability to write, modify and maintain Essbase Dimension Build rules
Ability to write, modify and maintain Essbase Report scripts
Ability to write, modify and maintain Hyperion Financial Reports
Ability to write, modify and maintain Hyperion Web Analysis Views and Dashboards
Ability to write, modify and maintain Hyperion Smart View Reports
Ability to modify and maintain Hyperion Planning smart lists
Participation in the GBF Change Management council
Project Leading for Support Transition during implementation waves
Effective Reporting and SLA Reporting for the services provided.
Additional Information:
This Role should initially be based onshore working directly with the current
Development Team and onsite Support SME. However this could be a role that
could operate offshore and therefore this could be satisfied with a rotational
resource. Must have experience in providing timely and consistent support to
the Business.
The Developer must be able to work both onshore and offshore Team members in
delivering the changes.
