I have the following immediate need:
Cognos Report Developer
Location: CA
Duration: 6 months extendable
Here is the detailed job description.
• Assist in development of Reporting and Analytics Cognos standards and governance
• Perform unit test processes to ensure proper functioning, and collaborate with other team members during system and integration test phases to ensure proper functioning as part of a larger system.
• Assist in development of department standards, policies, procedures and industry best practices with respect to system design, architecture, naming and coding standards and system development lifecycle steps for Cognos solutions
• Review Cognos applications and reports created with the team for best practices and efficiency.
• Design, write, test and deploy Cognos reports
• Ability to gather and understand business requirements and translate into IT solutions using Cognos required. Experienced Cognos Developer that can ensure optimal User Experience
• Experience with ETL Func Specs for Data Warehousing and Business Intelligence required.
• 3 years experience designing and developing Cognos applications and reports using the Cognos tool suite and functionality.
• 2 years' experience with relational and or multidimensional databases and data modeling required.
• Extensive Cognos BI 8 Framework Manager and Report Writing experience required.
• Experience with Teradata and Informatica utilities preferred.
Experience with logical data modeling with tools, such as Erwin, preferred. Logical-to-physical data modeling experience a plus.
