This is my direct client opening for .Net *Programmer/Analyst *- New York,
NY. This is a 12 months contract position. The Hourly rate is $40/hr.
Candidates need to interview in person and should be in the NY area.

The selected candidate will develop new and maintain existing Agency
Intranet and Internet applications; participate in analysis and
documentation of user requirements and design; code and test interactive and
database-driven Web applications to fulfill user requirements; and be
responsible for creating, enhancing, and maintaining database-driven web
applications using VB.NET VB.ASP, VBScript, HTML, XML and SQL. The selected
candidate will also work with business, creative, and technical team
members.
*MANDATORY SKILLS/EXPERIENCE *Note: candidates who do not have the mandatory
skills will not be considered.
The selected candidate must have at least two years experience programming
Web applications, in a .Net environment using VB.NET VB.ASP, VBScript, HTML,
XML and SQL.
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college, and two years of
satisfactory full-time (not classroom based) experience in computer
applications development planning, design, configuration, installation,
troubleshooting, integration, performance monitoring, maintenance,
enhancement, and security management; or
1. A four-year high school diploma or its educational equivalent and six
years of satisfactory full-time (not classroom) based information technology
experience of which at least two years must have been as described in "1"
above; or
1. A master's degree in computer science or a related field from an
accredited college may substitute for one year of experience. However, all
candidates must have at least one year or satisfactory (not classroom based)
information technology experience as described in "1" above.

The candidate must have knowledge of Windows NT operating systems, Microsoft
IIS and SQL Servers, database integration, Visual Basic. Must have a
minimum of 2 years experience in software development with ASP, ADO,
ADO.Net, Java Script, Visual Basic 6, VB Script, COM/Active X, HTML, DHTML,
XML, Transact SQL, C, Java, MS SQL Server 7/2000/2005, MS Visual Studio,
Visual Studio 2003/2005, Net Framework (VB.Net, ASP.Net) development, IIS
