+1 I happen to press esc too often myself, and if that future dialog would go away with esc, then repeatedly pressing esc (like I do to be sure to be in visual mode in vim), then the dialog would be repeatedly posted/un-posted until the brain recognizes that it is not vim. Evolution does this if esc is pressed while composing mail.
