I've been listening closely to the local news casts. We've had the mayor and chief of police give several local briefings on what's happening. A police officer actually chased Mohammed on the night that he shot a clerk at the state liquor store here (about 5 miles from my house). He immediately picked Mohammed out of the lineup, even though they sequestered him during the day of the arrest, to ensure he didn't see anything on the news. Mohammed is the one that pulled the trigger here. The 17 year old boy left a finger print on a magazine at the scene of the crime, and another witness saw him there at the murder/robbery. Montgomery has charged both with capitol murder and is seeking the death penalty for both. It may be that they have first prosecution on the two, since they have a more developed case with better evidence.
