Dear folks,
There is an interesting comparison in Houston. A woman stabbed her husband
more than 200 times as she killed him - found guilty and given 25 years.
Martha Stewart stole some money - got 20 years. I'm not too sure what this
says, but shows some interesting values we seem to have here in our society.
I believe a man in the first case would be headed for death row. I was on
a jury that sent a man away for 22 years for threatening his wife. He
didn't DO anything. I couldn't talk the jury into even thinking about the
verdict. It was bad, in my opinion.
