www.sun.com/sunmanagementcenter should get yu started. As far as I know, the download is free, but the support comes with a tag...

docs.sun.com should be able to give you the documentation support...

But sure you can download the tool and play around with the same...

I would not mind setting up such environment with demozone1 and demozone2 and be able to see how my applications work or how I can play with all the resources in test environment and then be able to deploy best results and so on... Is there any way to be able to get this tool out even in such limited version?

The screen shot shown was from a demo developed by John Clingan as an internal Sun demo to show customers how resource management works with zones. It does not manage zones generically and specifically can only (as written ) handle three zones with the names demozone1, demozone2 and demozone2

It does not manage containers and as Jerry says this can be achieved using Solaris Container Manager which is an add on to Sun Management Center

Hi again,

I'm still playing with zones...
I was having a look at the clingan zone, and there is a snapshot of a tool here : http://blogs.sun.com/jclingan/resource/global_create.gif

This tool has a nice display and seems to manage containers.

I have installed sun management center 361, but it doesn't seem to be that tool. I don't have the email of Mr Clingan.

Any idea where I can get this tool ?

I think that is the Solaris Container Manager

http://www.sun.com/software/products/container_mgr/

It is supposed to be part of the SunMC product, according to the
web site, so I am not sure why you don't have it.
