Hi. I'm trying to move a NGZ from a S10 U6 host to a system running U7 - both are Sparc architecture. To do so, I ran the command
$ sudo zoneadm -z race-trac detach on the old S10 U6 machine. After that, I created a snapshot of the ZFS containing the zoneroot and did a zfs send | zfs receive, to copy it over to the new S10 U7 box; U7 is very up-to-date reg. patches - pca doesn't show any missing patches (see below) - actually, I ran pca just prior to running zoneadm attach. To hightlight that: Zoneroot is on a ZFS. Trying to go from U6 to U7. Maybe important? Source system is a SunFire V240; Target is a M4000. Once the copy was done, I logged in to the S10 U7 system, to attach the non global zone. You can find the output of "zoneadm -z race-trac attach" below; because there are a lot of patches "missing" in the S10 U6 source system (compared to the destination U7 system), i wanted to use the "update on attach" feature and re-ran the "attach" command with "-u": $ sudo env LC_ALL=C LANG=C PATH=/usr/sbin:/usr/bin:/sbin:/bin zoneadm -z race-trac attach -u zoneadm: zone 'race-trac': WARNING: pools facility not active; zone will not be bound to pool 'pool_default'. zoneadm: zone 'race-trac': WARNING: pools facility not active; zone will not be bound to pool 'pool_default'. The file .../contents DOES exist; I checked it both on the source side and also in the .zfs ZFS snapshot directory as it is present on the target system (I checked there, to see how the directory looked like, before I ran the zoneadm attach command).
