the patch looks good but I am getting confused with the 
OBSERVERINFO/FOLLOWERINFO discussion above... As of this patch is the above 
discussion relavant? As far as I can tell its just a refactoring and the 
servers before and after this patch should be able to work with each other ... 
right?
