Dear Smita, there was no need to set root as owner of the Postgres libraries. You just need to have permissions that are readable by the Zope user which is what Michele described. Once this is the case then Zope should start or at least give a different error. Please note that the errors you are experiencing are not related to Zope, Python or Postgres but unix and you should see if you can get some help from a sys admin in your company.
