Only that the Subversion people are wrong. Ad-hoc is not good enough. It must be able to be configurable on the server.
You may be right. This was certainly my initial reaction. I think, though, that we should at least try handling this the normal way and see how it works. If it doesn't work, we can try some server-side hacks.
