Thanks Marius for the nice explanation. Of course, the question remains why a 
view is named 'page' and an other kind of view is named 'view'.

Perhaps 'page' should be renamed to 'view' and 'view' should be renamed to 
'<fill_in_space_for_a_zope_guru>' :)
