you should be able to install a Zope3-server downloaded from
zope.org with the well known commands:
./configure --prefix=<PATH TO SERVER> --with-python=<PATH TO PYTHON>
If you don't know the path to python. try:
BTW: You should *NEVER* run Zope as root.
