I have a 6200 with OS 9.1 installed this is the last classic OS that could be loaded
on this model. The maximum ram is 64 Meg, although I have heard of ram slot
doublers. They are usable in the 6100 but I have not found out if they could be
used i n a 6200. These are as they say, slotting into the ram slot so you could load
4 x 32 meg so increasing it to 128. There may also be the problem that the 6200
architecture will not see another 64 meg. It is worth checking it out if someone
could answer this as I would like to do double the ram. Also finding a faster HD
may increase the speed of the 6200.
Using OS 9.1 on it is very slow. I have thought about reinstalling 8.6 or even 8.1 as
these were good systems and allow the use of more updated programs.

Greetings, I am working on a Performa 6200 for a friend that he wishes to use for his daughter to play games on. It currently has 64 meg of ram and is running 7.5.1. What would be the best system to have on it? I have the necessary system disks and upgrades to 9.2.2, so getting an upgraded system isn't a problem.
