If you're really determined to get it going, your best bet is the logic board swap, as already
suggested. Because of the slide out board, you can fit anything from a 630 (not a PowerMac)
up to a PowerMac 6500. The 630 board takes the same 72 pin RAM as the 5200, but there's
sometimes only a single slot. My favourite is the 5500/6500 board - stay away from 5400/6400s.


The downside is that you'll need 168 pin RAM.

I've no idea what may be wrong with your display and whether or not a transplant would help.
