I agree with this to a point at least.  My attempt to rephrase Richard's 
argument falters because I have not yet understood his use of the term 
'complexity'.  I'd prefer a rigorous definition but will settle for a better 
general understanding of what he means.  Despite his several attempts to 
describe his meaning I have not been able yet to successfully grasp exactly 
what counts as complex and what does not, and for things inbetween, how to 
judge the "degree" of complexity.
