He boy.. You should know about something for differencies between microcontrollers and microprocessors... By the way, an old AMD-450 could reach memory on 100MHz... (not 1MHz!) And what about of 80Cxxx's ot AT90Sxxx's cost???? (lower or higher then 35$ ??) Other.... I think, a PC is too expensive and complex for use as a PWM generator. ( Cannon and sparrow....) I think a (that) microcontrollers (which can..), are too expensive and complex for use as an 1MHz PWM generator.
