One topic not covered in either the ALSA
HOWTO, nor in the ALSA
Mini-HOWTO, nor at the website, is what tarball-packages need
to be downloaded in order to actually hear sound from speakers using
alsa!!! Its so obvious to you guys you forgot to mention it, but
not to me! www.alsa-project.org's
front page lists no less than five .tar.bz2s: driver-0.9.6,
library-0.9.6, utilities--9.6, tools-0.9.6, and oss-0.9.6. Which do I
need, if any? I just want basic mono desktop sound, nothing fancy. ------------------------------------------------------- This sf.net email is sponsored by:ThinkGeek Welcome to geek heaven. http://thinkgeek.com/sf _______________________________________________ Alsa-user mailing list [EMAIL PROTECTED] https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/alsa-user |
