To me, that appbrain e-mail smacked of a scam to get me to sign up with their site and a come-on for paid promotion of my app. Plus, the e-mail address they had as the one who was trying to claim my app was bogus. The additional facts that the app comment spam implicates appbrain in spamming dozens of apps to promote their site shows immoral business practices.
How many others have had their app continuously spammed by these AdSense for domains comments? Don't you find it curious that Appbrain is always the primary advertiser? It appears as if Appbrain is a scam and a source of spam. Not only have they been spamming comments in apps but also spamming developers in a bid to solicit paid promotion. The only conclusion I can come to is appbrain is run by people who are trying their best to scam money out of developers and generate traffic by spam and other unscrupulous methods. Appbrain is basically no different than a pirate site in that they are using dishonest methods to profit off the hard work of developers. Developers should demand their apps be removed from Appbrain's scam site. -John Coryat -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Android Developers" group.
