The Libertarian Party advocates the full and immediate repeal of the federal Income Tax -- to begin with!! And the libertarian position since the movement was founded in the late sixties has always been that nothing should replace it. We're not after "lighter" chains, or less inconvenience to our rights -- we're after liberty! Our tax protests, and running candidates and pamphlet distributions and state fair booths and all the rest of it is outreach and education. For several decades, The Libertarian Party was the only vehicle available for that purpose. Today, it is a still a good vehicle for that purpose. Outreach events help new people find us, one by one. Libertarians have introduced millions of people to the concepts of liberty, and they took it from there, reading and studying and debating and thinking. And today libertarian thought and activism and conviction has grown far beyond just being a political party, with further successes still to come. Today it's the freedom movement and you and I are part of it. So let's keep pushing. The LP itself has introduced millions to libertarianism -- but there are 330 million people who live in the United States. We need to reach the rest of them. Will you help?
