(Interfax-AVN) - A European Union delegation has postponed the visit to Georgia scheduled for March 11-12 and subsequent visits to Armenia and Azerbaijan due to the situation with Iraq. The Foreign Ministry of Greece, the country that currently chairs the EU, has sent a note to Georgia saying that due to growing tensions around Iraq the EU leadership should participate in important international forums on the matter, including sessions of the UN Security Council, a spokesman for the Georgian Foreign Ministry told Interfax-Military News Agency on Friday. The note proposes beginning consultations on fixing a new date of the visit to the Caucasus, the region that is of high interest for the EU.
