The pictures help.

It appears that the onset of the problem was some weeks ago.

Holes in the apple in my experience are due to a "poke" by a limb or
an insect such as a codling moth. Dehydration, interior mold, and
miscellaneous insect traffic subsequent to the initial hole will widen
the hole.

The bottom picture on the left with the flattened sides is reminiscent
of bitter rot. The one on the right looks more like black rot.

If a rot has already started on an apple, nothing you can treat them
with will arrest the rot. Refrigeration will slow it down.

Summer rots especially if preceded by insect holes are a major problem
in the hot wet SE US.
