Recently I tried some of the DJ Mixer applications available for Linux.
Among them was dbmixer (http://DBMix.sourceforge.net/). This package uses
a daemon for mixing different audio streams which are provided e.g. by
the xmms output-plugin of dbmix. Mixing and crossfading is controlled by a
mixer-GUI. In principle, the only thing that lacks for aRts beeing
suitable software for DJs is some mixer console (xmms with aRts output
plugin could be used for playing). Are there any plans to implement
something like this (maybe as part of the aRts control window) ?
