if the range was 0 ...269

then what is the meaning of 0 | 15 .. 269

i think the range in the above case should be

269 -15 = 254 +1 = 255

plus

0 i.e. one
so the range should be 256

The range does not change whether you use ALIGNED or UNALIGNED PER.
