Dear Simbo, I am so sorry to hear that your Mom Jean is ignoring you and spending all her time on the computer, but you can be sure - if Jean weren't doing that, I would have had a nervous breakdown by now! Jean is a very special person, and she has done a lot of great things for people who have other Berners like you and Sunny and Barney!
She was right, I'm going to be in Scotland, I leave right now to start the trip! I'll be in Glasgow tomorrow morning, and I'll get to visit with Liz Bradbury and her Berner, and two honorary Berners who just happen to look like Landseers. I will be thinking of Jean and all of the others on the Berner-L, we have lots of Berner-L elves that help behind the scenes to keep Berner-L running smoothly! I'll miss them all, but I owe a huge thanks to Jean, Sylvia Katvala, Maria Crifasi, Dana Pero, Rita Ehrnfeldt, Mie Kingsley, Julia Richert, Andrea Brin, Laurie Montoya, and all the many people who help patiently answer questions and help keep the Berner-L a wonderful place to be! I cannot begin to thank you all enough. This is truly a group effort, and evidence that Berner people are some of the very best people around! Thanks to Matt Kleiman for thinking to start an email list with 10 of his Berner friends! I will get home on September 24th, but it will take some time to get back up to speed. In the meantime, I know that all the people still on Prairienet will shift over to yahoogroups, and then Jean will be able to spend more time with you again, Simbo!! Oh, and Sunny and Barney too… <g> You make Jean stop typing long enough to give you all some hugs and bellyrubs from me! I wish I had more vacation time so I could swing down through England to visit all my friends there! I think I'll have to plan another vacation. What time of year is Crufts?
