I'm not sure what this even means. I've not paid any attention to the contrib/lsb stuff in the past and I don't have any idea what advantages it has over our existing scripts. Sorry to appear so ignorant about this, but for the longest time, I used custom init scripts and just recently starting using BLFS' scripts just so that I could test them against the book.
