I think they should be left in with a note explaining the situation.  We do 
need 
twm and a couple of other x applications to test the installation before a user 
goes on to install a more sophisticated window manager.

This presents the user with the necessary information to modify the wget files 
to customize the install, but sets the default to the traditional set of 
programs.
