Since I've never ran, played with or, have Vista, I don't have the slightest clue as to what options are available in display of the control panel. Take care. Personally I like my display set to classic, but that's just me. Also the screen resolution is hard to say. For example on my system that I recently upgraded from XP Media Center to 7 pro the recommended screen resolution is different even though nothing else has changed. Also each monitor does have its own native settings from the manufacturer, so like I say that is a tuff call. Never the less we have given hopefully enough information pointing in the right direction. Go to the control panel & display . In Display make sure that on the Desktop page that is set on, Bliss, on the Screensaver page it is set on none, & on the Settings page it is set for 1024 by 768.
