Unfortunately it may be one of those situations where his brain can't
grasp the concept fully. That's not a criticism or insult at all. Like I
said I have a dear friend who has the same or at least a similar issue.
It might also be something easier to show in person with physical
objects. Honestly, I'm very glad for this discussion because I think the
blind community, in general that is not anyone specifically here, can be
very critical of people for things like this when it's not really their
fault.

Get this, he can understand basic directions, up down left/right.

But I've even tried breaking level one down into little stages. Nope,
he still doesn't get it!
