Well, bear in mind that mobile phones usually implement parts of the Mass
storage standard (a good deal of it) and may simply forget the rest.
Have you tried using a card reader ? If the behaviour is identical, then
it rules out a Motorola limitation.
That's what I am trying to check with him. Usually you can check if a pc
is able to boot an special SD or an special usb disk by trying to boot
its device under qemu.
If it boots in qemu and does not boot elsewhere it means that the
elsewere does not implement an standard boot.
