The situation is this: I am running NT4 server. The machine I am connecting to is running NT4 Server. I am connected to that subnet over a dedicated T1. What I am doing is running "tail -f whatevername.log". What is happening is that after x amount of time (and I have to say X as it always happens when I am not watching), I get the message "tail: whatevername.log: permission denied" This is usually after a fair amount of time, however. I am wondering if there is a timeout on the -f option that is not listed? Have you heard of this before? I know it is not actually a permissions issue, as I have administrative rights to the share in question. Anxiously awaiting your reply, Kelly Smith
