Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)

     7/4: An early BUFFLEHEAD was seen along the Wildlife Drivve.

     7/5: An ORCHARD ORIOLE was seen at the Visitor’s Center. It was seen again 
on the 10th.

     7/7: 7 Shorebird species including GREATER and LESSER YELLOWLEGS were seen 
from Carncross Road.

     7/9: 5 Shorebird species including 6 SHORT-BILLED DOWITCHERS were seen at 
the Visitor’s Center.







Cayuga County

     7/7: An ACADIAN FLYCATCHER was found on Dogwood Rood north of Sterling.







Onondaga County

------------




     7/6: A BLACK VULTURE was seen from Jamesville Ave. in Syracuse.

     7/8A GRASSHOPPER SPARROW was seen at Cedar Bay in Fayetteville.

     7/9: A REDHEAD was again seen at the north end of Skaneateles Lake from 
the village.







Oswego County

     7/5; 6 PIPING PLOVERS and a BONAPARTE’S GULL were seen at the outlet to 
Sandy Pond on Lake Ontario.7/9: An ACADIAN FLYCATCHER was found on Cowpath Road 
north of Plainville. A BRANT was again seen from Breitbeck Park on Lake Ontario 
in Oswego. A REDHEADED WOODPECKER was seen in Constantion near Oneida Lake.







Madison County

------------




     7/4: A SNOW GOOSE was seen on Woodman Pond north of Hamilton.

     7/6: A RED CROSSBILL was heard at the Earlville State Forest. It was heard 
again on the 7th.







Herkimer County

------------




     7/7: 2 BLACK VULTURES were seen in flight from Salisbury north of 
Dolgeville.A GRASSHOPPER SPARROW was found on Bellinger Road south of Little 
Falls.

     7/8: A PEREGRINE FALCON continues in Little Falls, usually seen from the 
McDonald’s Parking Lot.

     7/9: 3 YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHERS and 3 SWAINSON’S THRUSHES were found 
near Higby Road at Big Moose Lake north of Inlet.
