Montezuma National Wildlife Refuge (MNWR) and Montezuma Wetlands Complex (MWC)

     9/5: An EURASIAN WIGEON was seen along the Wildlife Drive and remained 
through the 8th.

     9/10: A WESTERN SANDPIPER was seen at Knox-Marsellus Marsh. OLIVE-SIDED 
FLYCATCHER, PHILADELPHIA VIREO, COMMON NIGHTHAWK and YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER 
were all found on Howland Island. A GLOSSY IBIS and a FORSTER’S TERN were seen 
along the Wildlife Drive.







Cayuga County

------------




     9/7: 9 SANDERLINGS and 1 RUDY TURNSTONE were seen at Fair Haven State Park.







Oswego County

------------




     9/5: 13 Shorebird species including BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER, WHITE-RUMPED 
SANDPIPER, BAIRD’S SANDPIPER, RED KNOT and WHIMBREL were all noted at the Sandy 
Pond Outlet on Lake Ontario.

     9/6: BUFF-BREASTED SANDPIPER, BAIRD’S SANDPIPER and 4 STILT SANDPIPERS 
were present at the Sandy Pond Outlet.

     9/9: New arrivals to Sandy Pond were AMERICAN GOLDEN PLOVER and 5 
FORSTER’S TERNS.

     9/11: 7 FORSTER’S TERNS, RUDDY TURNSTONE, BLACK-BELLIED PLOVER SANDERLING 
and BAIRD’S SANDPIPER were present at the Sandy Pond Outlet.







Onondaga County

------------




     9/7: OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHERS were found at the SU ESF campus and Oakwood 
Cemetery in Syracuse. A YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER was seen in Oakwood Cemetery.

     9/8: An OLIVE-SIDED FLYCATCHER and an ORANGE-CROWNED WARBLER were seen at 
Oakwood Cemetery. 2 YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHERS were seen in Thornden Park in 
Syracuse.A PHILADELPHIA VIREO, a YELLOW-BELLIED FLYCATCHER and a LINCOLN’S 
SPARROW were all found at Three Rivers WMA north of Baldwinsville.







Madison County

------------




     9/10: A PHILADELPHIA VIREO was seen in the Earlville State Forest.

     9/11: 8 Shorebird species including SEMI-PALMATED PLOVER and PECTORAL 
SANDPIPER were seen on Ditchbank Road north of Canastota.







Oneida County

------------




     9/7: A WHITE-RUMPED SANDPIPER was seen at the corner of Rt.365 and Jones 
Road on Hinkley Reservoir.

     9/8: A RED-HEADED WOODPECKER continues on Lakeshore Road north of Sylvan 
Beach.

     9/9: A PHILADELPHIA VIREO was seen at Spring Farm Nature Sanctuary south 
of Clinton.







Herkimer County

------------




     9/11: 4 EVENING GROSBEAKS were seen on Van Buren Street in Dolgeville.
