Jeffry-

How do you manage having both identity integers and GUIDs?  I’m leaning toward this approach, but have concerns over maintenance etc.  Do you use the integer as the PK/FK and just have the GUID sitting there for when you need to communicate between systems?

Thanks

Probably this one: http://www.cflib.org/udf.cfm?ID=512

Although this one may be suit the purposes to: http://www.cflib.org/udf.cfm?ID=54

I'll add that I never use GUID over "identity ints".  I haven't worked in environments where replication has been an issue either.  I can see how there would be benefit in avoiding replication conflicts.
I will use GUID in situations where I'm integrating with other sources.  This is usually in addition to an internal identity, not instead of.

I'll add that there is a UDF that "fixes" CF's GUID to resemble SQL's GUID.  I thought it was on CFLib, but I couldn't find it.  Google didn't find it either.  Hopefully, someone else can remember where it is.
