Well I did a complete uninstall and reinstall of JRun and CFMX last night on our server and the clustering problem still exists. I guess now I'm wondering if this is a security problem in java or maybe a firewall is killing it somehow. Since this all running on the same box I'm not sure how a firewall would mess things up but I'm running out of ideas.
I guess I'll start studying up on java security to see if some security properties file needs to be updated to allow JINI and JNDI to work correctly.
