Dave, You are right... should have looked more... and were my life an endless clock that would be possible. <grin> My thoughts were to acquire something someone else had tested though... so if I run into coding problems I do not waste additional time with a solution that doesn't work. Learning LDAP in CF requires a solid functional server to connect to. I have actually tried a couple of servers only to find out they "do ldap"... but, and but and but... which doesn't help for software design. I wanted something "real"... something another CFer had tested. Also... I was under the impression you could not do ActiveDirectory on Windows XP... doesn't that require a Windows Server (2000 or above?).
