There is a Model-Glue specific list: [EMAIL PROTECTED], but most of those folks are here too.

The auto-generated files can be customized via the underlying xsl. However I think it is easier to take the auto-generated file, and copy it into the directory above the 'generated' directory, and then customize it. That new view will be used in place of the 'generated' one. Joe demonstrates doing this in his "Blog in 8.5 minutes" video.

Not sure why it runs slow when you set reload = false. It loads as quick as any app on my machine when I set that to false.

To best understand coldspring and Reactor, you should read the documentation for each of those. In short,  ColdSpring handles dependencies between CFCs and Reactor automates the interaction with you database (all the SQL and the CFC that represents a record).

MG:Unity and the great automation it does is not for everybody. Unfortunately MG, ColdSpring and Reactor are all such new and changing tools that it is difficult to find a lot of comprehensive examples. And there are plenty of debates about is this something you should use and invest your time learning.

All I can say there is that for me, these new frameworks and such have helped me organize my code better and just seems to make logical sense.

First of all, apologies if I'm posting to the wrong list.  Please correct me if I'm wrong.

I'm starting to play with Model-Glue:Unity which uses ColdSpring and Reactor, and I just don't get it.  I got it to generate a list of items from my table, a view and an edit form, but I don't' see a good way to customize it, and it seems to run VERY slow.  Even when I tell it not to reload and to run in production mode.  It still takes 4-10 seconds just to load the view page for my data.  Is this normal?

Does anyone have any good guides to using MG:U and can explain what the roles of ColdSpring and Reactor are in the framework?
