In my sample/starting application Appbooster I have an example of role based security using CFCs. Check it out and let me know what you think.

Jeff,

To my knowledge there are none that exist for ColdFusion.  However if
you are looking to roll your own, there are two Java frameworks that
you might want to look at:

Acegi: http://www.acegisecurity.org
jGuard: http://jguard.xwiki.com

Acegi integrates tightly with Spring, so if you're by chance a
ColdSpring user you might be able to look at Acegi and find ways to
hook your own implementation into CS.
