NEW: Assistant/Associate Professor Position at CU Denver “Inworks”

Inworks at the University of Colorado Denver | Anschutz Medical Campus,
invites qualified individuals to apply for a full-time position as an
Assistant Professor in the clinical teaching track. Highly-qualified
applicants with a record of accomplishments appropriate for appointment at
the rank of Associate Professor C/T will also be considered.
Responsibilities will include active engagement in the teaching,
scholarship and service missions of Inworks and the University. You will be
part of a small, close-knit community of innovators who are building an
extraordinary interdisciplinary, human-centered, problem-oriented
educational program. For both practical and programmatic reasons, Inworks
operates in many ways as a “start-up.” Strong candidates will be
self-directed and biased toward action, comfortable “wearing many

*Inworks Mission:*

Inworks is a new initiative of the University of Colorado Denver │ Anschutz
Medical Campus that draws together faculty, staff and students from across
the two campuses, as well as entrepreneurs and leaders from industry,
government, education and the community, to address problems of importance
to human society. Our mission is to impart skills and habits of mind that
allow people to collaboratively create impactful solutions to human
problems. We seek to create innovative solutions to some of the world’s
most challenging problems, while in the process creating life-long
innovators. In addition to a rich assortment of course offerings, we
currently offer undergraduate and graduate certificates, as well as an
undergraduate minor, in human-centered design and innovation. Our academic
programs, which are open to students from every discipline, are expected to
expand significantly in the next two years.

*Minimum Qualifications:*

   - Earned terminal degree in a discipline relevant to Inworks, and
   relevant experience appropriate for appointment to a clinical teaching
   track position and as a member of the Graduate Faculty of the University
   - Strong commitment to teaching excellence
   - Demonstrated success in a collaborative environment

*Required Competencies/Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:*

   - Significant disciplinary strength in at least one core area of Inworks
   educational focus: human-centered design and innovation, design thinking,
   global/public health, entrepreneurship, leadership development, team
   building, technology and development, human-computer interfaces, game
   design and development, technology and human social systems; rapid
   prototyping, data science, physical computing, digital education, human
   longevity

*Desired Qualifications:*

   - Disciplinary strength in several core areas of Inworks educational
   focus
   - Demonstrated teaching excellence in a higher education setting
   - Evidence of a commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration
   - Strong interpersonal skills that that foster respect and openness to
   the ideas of others
   - Evidence of prior achievement in research, creative work or
   professional practice
