Hi there, I'm a graduate student at the Ohio State University, conducting research about land use agreements and practices between community gardeners / urban farmers and private landowners who temporarily lend their land for such agricultural use. I'm also looking into how these relationships compare to the use of public land, such as that provided by city land banks. My research is focused on a transect connecting Columbus and Cleveland, hopefully including a handful of smaller communities in between the two metro centers.
At this early point in my research, I'm casting a wide net seeking anecdotal perspectives and thoughts from gardeners and farmers who are engaged in these temporary land use agreements. If you are currently engaged in such an agreement, and would be willing to share your thoughts with me, please get in touch! Also do feel free to pass this along to anyone else you think might be interested. I can be reached at: kerric...@osu.edu Thank you, and I look forward to hearing from you!
