I'm upgrading my Compaq PC's memory to 2 GB from 512 and have a couple of questions. While I can document the correct memory upgrade through HP/Compaq and Crucial, when I find what seems to be a cheaper price for memory at some of the other websites, I am unable to find my particular computer model referenced as being compatible. What memory specs do I need to match in order for it to work? Or is it more involved than I think?

Compaq Presario Media Center SR2032X: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c00758095&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&product=3254080#

Crucial says that I can use either PC2-4200 or PC2-5300. I've found (what I think is), a good deal on Kingston 1GB PC2-5300 (29.99), but am unsure if it is compatible: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820134045

What specs do I need to match to ensure this memory works on my computer?
Is Kingston ValueRAM line ok?
Is dual channel memory compatible or is it a different card design?

Thanks in advance,

Richard P.
