New Information: Apparently letting the laptop stay off for awhile has
helped. I now am able to get to the partitioning prompts. When I was
here before, the installation failed to complete on "C" after it had
been formatted. Now I'm not sure what to do. any suggestions?

Thanks again,

Richard P.
