Hi guys,
I know that support for RF Harmony remotes is not ready yet, but since you
probably already know a lot about how these remotes work, I would like to
ask you whether you think it would be possible to use them to control
computer directly (without additional IR receiver).

I have Harmony 895 and I hate the delays between key presses and repeated
key presses. They seem too long for me even when all delays are set to 0ms
using Logitech software. It would be great if the remote could "feel" like
normal keyboard with immediate reaction to button press and quick repeating
of key presses according to some typematic rate settings if a button stays
pressed.

Harmony RF remotes have RF extender which can be connected to computer
through USB. Do you think it would be possible to use this extender as
receiver, that is to connect it to computer and write a software which
captures signals which the remote sends to the extender? That way the
signals could be mapped to key presses and hopefully it would help to get
rid of all the delays.

Thanks very much for your opinion.
M.
