Hi! Are there other hooks like loginexec?
I'm especially looking for a hook that is called whenever a (IMAP) client polls the Maildir for updates: I would like to call fetchmail to check an associated remote POP account for new mails when this happens. My setup: courier as IMAP server exim for sending outside via a smarthost and local delivery to the maildirs. fetchmail to poll external email-accounts. These are installed on a linux server. Clients are Thunderbird from Windows work stations. Except for me;-), other users don't mess directly with the server. Each user can have several virtual IMAP-accounts (maildirs). Each of these accounts (authuserdb) can be associated with an external POP or IMAP account that gets polled by fetchmail and the mail is delivered by exim to the corresponding maildir. My remaing problem is: I usually want fetchmail (running as daemon / cron job) to poll the external accounts every few hours - no need to create unnecessary traffic. But when I expect a mail in an account to come in soon I need an easy way to trigger fetchmail manually. Also when I'm online with an IMAP client I want fetchmail to do his stuff each time the client polls an account. Right now I can only do this when logging in to an account via the loginexec script. That's rather inconvenient since i have to restart the client (thunderbird) completely to log in again.
