A more current example is the U.K. where are lawfully owned firearms were
confiscated by the government. Violent crime, which was supposted to decline,
has increased. The bad guys are using surpus military firearms from the
Balkans and the police are thinking about arming themselves for the first
time in their history.
The Austrailians are also experiencing an increase in violent crime now that
their law abiding citizens are helpless.
